S. Orestis Palermos (PhD & MSc in Philosophy, University of Edinburgh; MSc and UG in Chemical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens) is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina. His research lies at the intersection of the philosophy of cognitive science, epistemology, and philosophy of technology, with a focus on the epistemological and ethical implications of extended and distributed cognition. He has co-edited several volumes, including Extended Epistemology (Oxford University Press, 2018), Socially Extended Epistemology (Oxford University Press, 2018), and Feminist Philosophy and Emerging Technologies (Routledge, 2024). Prior to joining the University of Ioannina, he held positions at Cardiff University (Assistant and later Associate Professor) and the University of Edinburgh (Postdoctoral Research Assistant).
