Eirini Folina is a PhD candidate at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina under the supervision of Professor Golfo Maggini. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy, Education, and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from the Philosophy Department of the University of Ioannina. Her master's thesis concerned Hans Jonas’ ethics of responsibility and its impact upon bioethics, intergenerational ethics, and the ethics of vulnerability. Her main research interests include applied ethics, with an emphasis on bioethics, medical ethics, ethics of new technologies, and environmental ethics.
